We welcome you to the Shire of Corvaria!

The Shire of Corvaria is the Central Oregon Branch of the organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism (hereafter known as the SCA) that includes Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook Counties.

Who are we, and what does the SCA do? 

The SCA is an international non-profit volunteer education organization.  The SCA is devoteed to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities.

Our “Known World” consists of 20 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the period, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, art, sciences, classes, and more.
